I joined Find a Grave on March 31, 2024. However, I have been using it since March 2011. I have doing genealogy research (as a hobby) since April 15, 1999.
I was born on Long Island. However, I grew up in Northern Virginia.
Most of my ancestors settled in Albany, Rensselaer, and Schenectady counties in New York state.
A few ancestors also lived in the New York City area and in New Jersey (Arlington, Rahway, and South Amboy).
The Gleason Family came to Litchfield, Connecticut from County Limerick, Ireland. A few of them went on from there to New Haven, New Hartford, and Hartford.
My Norwegian ancestors settled throughout Wisconsin (Ashland, New Lisbon, and Madison to name a few). A few of them went on from there to Minnesota (Bemidji, Minneapolis, and St. Paul).
I greatly appreciate all the help that I have received on Find a Grave. I hope that I may be helpful as well.
