High Chief Dr. (Prince) Wilton Adebowale Ekpo McDonald II, Esq.

dr. Wilton McDonald II, Esq. the founder of Avia Legal (Cayman) Ltd, an incorporated Cayman Islands law practice is responsible for providing legal services to Cayman and BVI domiciled funds, as well as several other jurisdictions. Wilton has over 30 years of public accounting, financial services and legal experience setting up over 1,000 hedge funds, and has worked closely with start-ups as well as "blue chip" investment fund managers, administrators, and onshore counsel. Wilton also serves as independent director and advisor to the alternative investment community. Wilton's investment funds practice has afforded him the opportunity to gain experience in general corporate, partnership, trusts, and commercial law, liquidations, as well as experience in securities, secured lending transactions, and IPOs/ stock exchange listings.
By way of background, Wilton is an active Fellow of the ACCA in the United Kingdom (since 2001). He was admitted to the bar in 2004 as an Attorney/ Barrister in the Cayman Islands, Jamaica, and the British Virgin Islands, and in 2002/ 2003 as an Attorney in Connecticut (ret), and New York, USA. In January 2020 he was admitted to the roll of foreign lawyers in the Republic of Poland.
dr. McDonald helped to grow several start-up practices attached to CIMA licensed administrators during 2013- 2020 billing just under US$ 5 million before such entities were eventually sold. Prior to establishing his own Cayman law firm Avia Legal in 2022, and Cayman Islands consulting firm, Iberia Legal in 2010, Wilton built a US$ 3.5 million practice at Truman Bodden & Co. as Head of the Investment Funds Dept. (between 2006 -2010). Wilton was also employed as an investment funds associate at Ogier and Lennox Paton, Nassau, Bahamas. Wilton completed a BSc/ BBA degree from Northern Caribbean University, an MBA from Andrews University, a Bachelor of Laws (2:1 Hons.) degree from University College London, a Master of Laws degree from Fordham Law School and completed the residence requirement for the Doctor of Juridical Science degree at Cornell Law School in Ithaca NY. dr. McDonald completed the Council of Legal Education Certificate and obtained a certificate in company law from the Université de Paris I and the Panthéon-Sorbonne He was awarded the Doctor of Business Administration degree in Rome, Italy in January 2020 and completed pre and post-doctoral studies in finance and economics at two universities in Poland including the Warsaw School of Economics. dr. McDonald is committed to lifelong learning and has completed post-doctoral research, an executive leadership program and post graduate courses at Saïd Business School, Oxford University, and Harvard University. Wilton's post graduate research has always focused on derivatives and their impact on the stability of US banks. His first academic paper was published in 2004: "Financial Accounting Standard (FAS) No. 133 Accounting for Derivatives- Do the New Regulations Decrease Operating Risk and Prevent Ultimate Failure of Banking Institutions in Light of the Basel Committee's Capital Accord?," 37 UWLA Law Review, 138 (2004).
In early 2025 dr. McDonald rebranded Iberia Legal as Iberia Gold , a private Cayman fund, SEC exempt/ registered, SECDEX exchange listed and issuer of tokens securitized on shares and inground assets of over USD 421 billion in Oceania and Africa. The Iberia brand has been extended to include affiliated companies registered in the Cayman Islands, Papua New Guinea, Dubai, UAE, Burkina Faso, and Nigeria. dr. McDonald has also created the Genesis Timeline and Roots (GTR ) project based on 5 years of research leading to another higher doctorate, a new e-book on melanated Hebrew history and 5025 year timeline in its final stages of production and to be featured in an upcoming weekly show on CMR TV.
On the 29th of November 2025 dr. McDonald became an Igbo Chief in the village of Boki in Cross River State, Nigeria and was assigned the Efik name of "Ekpo" which means "ghost" and a name associated with cultural beliefs surrounding ancestors and the afterlife. He was sworn in as Chief by royal, Boki LGA who is 115 years old.
On the 2nd of December 2025 dr. McDonald became a Yoruba High Chief and Prince of Aagba in Osun State, Nigeria and adoptive son of the Alaagba or King of Aagba, in Osun State, of the Fatorisa Ruling House, Oba Rufus Olayinka Ogunwole, Kujosin 1. dr. McDonald was given the following Yoruba name "Adebowale" which translates to "the crown has come home". It is derived from three components: "Ade" meaning crown or royalty, "bo" meaning has come, and "wale" meaning home. This name symbolizes a return to one's roots or heritage, often reflecting a significant cultural or familial connection.
At the time of writing (Dec. 2025) dr. McDonald has been recommended to become a UN Ambassador by the Cross River State in Nigeria.
dr. McDonald is a citizen of the Cayman Islands, United Kingdom, Jamaica and Nigeria. He is married for the past 20 years to Ewelina Sadurska-McDonald and has two teenage children, Maria and Aleksander Wilton.
