I have been working with Find-a-Grave for over a year now and have really enjoyed my time. I do most of my pictures in the three major cemeteries in the Amarillo area, along with any of the church columbariums. If I know I am going to visit a cemetery in another area while traveling, I check to see if there are any photo requests there. My wife thinks I am a little bit crazy because I try to clean up the grave markers for my pictures. I have also dug up buried markers that haven't been seen for years. I am presently working to get as many grave locations put into Find-a-Grave as I can since two of the local cemeteries are really lacking in that regard. I probably spend too much time looking up other information about some of my picture subjects, but I hate to not add a spouse or other family members if I can find them. A lot of the pictures I have posted were just markers in an area I was working through and I noticed that they didn't have a grave marker picture. I recently was scanning some older photographs from some genealogy trips about 15 years ago and found that some of them were needed for memorials from cemeteries in Nebraska. I appreciate all of the encouragement and messages I have received, and I look forward to another productive year.
