I'm finding a lot on his mother Sallie Gasque. Also interested in the Betheas where Sallies mother Susan derived. Barnes of Rankin and Leake Co. Neal's of Rankin and Scott. I'm sure there are more.

I'm finding most all of them came from South Carolina.
