I was curious about my family tree, particularly on my father's side, who passed before I could gather information about our heritage. I'm trying to find the origins of my last name.
Paternal Surnames: Chebetar, Spina, Yozzo, Fidmik.
The rest is a mystery. I know that both lineages immigrated through Canada into the US from Italy (Spina and Yozzo), and the other is thought to be from the Czech Republic or Poland (Chebetar and Fidmik).
Maternal Surnames: Holleman, Oswalt, Davidson, Campbell, Dees, Dunlap, Moore, Jones, Carter, McPherson, Shiers, Cooper.
I know nothing about the Holleman side as I never knew my grandfather. Although the Davidson and Campbell lineage can be traced back to Scotland and Ireland and immigrated to the US as Quakers.
I'm new here, so any input would be greatly appreciated :)
