Raised in the Midwest, as it happens I am a 10th-generation American along my patrilineal line. My formal education and experience includes computer science (USC, UW-Madison and University of Rhode Island), submarine nuclear propulsion (US Navy nuclear power school; interviewed by Admiral Rickover), attack submarines (SSNs), defense software, venture-backed software startups and finance (Morgan Stanley) in Austin, Texas, where I have lived for nearly 30 years and am now retired with my wife and one grown child.
