I have used Find A Grave extensively to delve into my Scandinavian and German ancestry as well as to help others find their ancestors. On Memorial Weekend 2025, I found six grave sites of my ancestors who immigrated from Norway to America. I cleaned the stones and photographed their grave markers which can now be viewed on Find A Grave. Many of my modern-day relatives are choosing to be cremated. Find A Grave is a way to "visit" their memorial and to keep families together even if someone chooses cremation over burial in a cemetery.
