My mum Tessa (nee Harrington) have been researching her Irish ancestors in Roscommon and Galway and just returned from a self-driven Who Do You Think You Are? trip on which with the help of people we met by chance (or a greater hand at work!), we ended up finding my mum's second cousins and the farm, church, townland, graveyard which were/are home to her grandfather's family. It has been the most special week. We plan next year to do the other side of the family who came from Co Mayo
