Researching my family history. Born Kuala Lumpur 1956. Mother's father's ancestors named 'McCoy' and 'Hatton' - originated from India, but emigrated to Malaya in 1912. Mother's mother's ancestors named 'Wong' - originated from Sandakan (British North Borneo, now Sabah), but emigrated to Malaya in 1915. The family settled eventually in Singapore.
My mother is the eldest daughter of Gerald Gifford McCoy who is buried at St Mark's Church (Seremban) together with his father (Arthur Leopold Henry) and his mother (Rachel Milicent). My mother was born in Seremban in 1933, and lived in Manchester, UK until she passed on 7th February 2025. She will be buried at St Mark's Church (Seremban). I live in Shropshire, UK. I would value any contact with family members and others who can provide more information. Thank you.
