I am in search of Catherine Jones- Thompson. The headstone on her husband's grave, Nathaniel Thompson, says she is buried in Thompson Cemetery in Union County Iowa.
Turns out, Catherine raised her sister, Lucy's son, John. Lucy is buried in Parke Co. Indiana. I would very much like to locate her grave as well. There is very little information about Catherine or Lucy, I am researching their parents, Benjamin and Melinda "Lenny" Jones.
John is my Great Great Grandfather, he and his wife are buried in Greenlawn Cemetery in Afton Iowa. Along with his daughter Great Grandma Estella, and GGG Grandpa Nathaniel. Nathaniel Thompson was the first Sheriff of Afton Iowa in 1854, he was Sheriff till 1860. He was shot and killed by his 3rd wife's Father...
