Hi Jack here. 1950-to the present, 09-07-2024. I was amazed at the detail regarding my uncle Jack Sheldon MacConkey, who died serving his country in 1944. Flying a P-51, wow. Regrettably, he was to die flying that amazing aircraft. I have to wonder, if I could speak to my uncle, would he think his sacrifice was worth it? Would he think it was worth it for me? Something to ponder.
