When creating a family tree of my family, I also look for cemeteries and graves. Our family is from Polish, but we also have ancestors and relatives scattered around the world, mainly in the USA. Find a Grave is the only way to see the graves of family members from the other side of the ocean and I hope to get in touch with living descendants.
