SAGHS (San Antonio Genealogical and Historical Society) was formed in 1959 to promote genealogical research for anyone interested in searching for their ancestors. The library consisting of over 19,000 books, maps, charts, and family research is located at 911 Melissa Drive, San Antonio, Texas, (210)342-5242, https://txsaghs.org. Anyone can join SAGHS. We produce a journal, Our Heritage, publish books on cemeteries, marriages, and First Families of Bexar County. Educational seminars, classes and workshops are provided to anyone interested in genealogy. SAGHS is a 501(3) organization with volunteers available to promote genealogical and historical research, publish and preserve records, and increase awareness of genealogy and history.
