I got into Genealogy in high school. It was a 9th grade project. My mother loved doing it and she got the interest from her Dad. Genealogy really didn't take a hold of me until 1998.

After my Dad died in 1996, my mom and I traveled to Frankfurt, Ky. to do research on my Great Gr. Grandfather. He was a Riverboat pilot on the Ohio & Mississippi rivers. He was from Ohio. We tried to find his grave, but couldn't. Born around 1825. Died 1876. He served in the Civil War under the Command of D.D. Porter (Still trying to confirm this). Starting to believe he is buried in a Potter's Field?

I believe Genealogy is important. It is a lot of fun. Also can be very aggravating too.

I see on this site some of my family is not connected or known. I am going to try and do my best to help connect the families.

My mom and dad did a lot of research on the families, my sister also continuing the journey. I just thought this is a way I can contribute to the Journey also. We have pictures over the years. Hopefully, With God's Grace and some hard work I can do my part!
