I am fairly new to genealogy (about a year and a half). My parents divorced when I was very young, and I lived with my mother. Consequently, I didn't know many of my family members on my father's side. That's what got me interested in tracing my roots. Finding out who they were and learning about their stories has almost given me a sense of being able to meet them. It has been a fascinating journey so far.
