If you are a friend or a relative that would like to take management of the memorial please message me through the memorial as my overall messages are turned off.

I am volunteering to do this service and I do not work for Find a Grave.

Verbally abusive contact or messages will be forwarded to the Find a Grave administrators. Rude, sarcastic, or unkind messages will not be tolerated and further edits from you will not be accepted . Screenshots will be taken for reporting.

Unfortunately there are many memorial managers that are so selective and possessive of the memorials, hindering the work and it makes it difficult to further this work and help others. I will do my best to maintain an accurate memorial for those I manage. I know I am doing this to help others find their ancestors. Please read the quote below which I feel is truly reflective of what this work should be.

Here is a little something that another fellow Find-a-Grave member, Jeff Gonyea, put on his profile and S. Antar shared:

"We don't "own" the memorials we manage - they are not ours. We may create them, we may update them, we may transfer them to others - we are but stewards. They are Find A Grave memorials of human beings, departed. They are not "friends" on a social media network website to be collected like baseball trading cards. And there's no prize for the one who dies with the most.

The reward (for me) comes from maintaining the most accurate and dignified memorials I can.

What we record becomes history, and a record in someone else's family tree. We have a

responsibility to do a good job of it. It's a privilege and an honor.
