Searching for descendents from my husband, James E. Robinson's, 9th Great Grandfather, Christopher Potter Robinson. He came from Cleasby, England, 1666 to Urbanna, VA. He built "House of Hewick", which is now a National Historic Home. He, and his son John were both Governors of VA, and both in The House of Commons. Johns 1683-1749, son is Henry Payne, 1718-1771. Henry's son Robert, LTC 1740-1836 moved to York, PA, his son is Joseph, 1770-1855, his son is Joseph Jr, 1812-1864, his son, John C, 1844-1915 relocated family to Minnesota. His son Luther, 1872-1915 farmed in Truman, MN. His son Fay, 1901-1961 was also a farmer. Fays son, Harold 1924-1974, joined the Navy, married Edna Fox, 1926-2005, from Maine. After the service Harold stayed in New England,(Rhode Island)to raise his family. They had 10 children, I married the 8th. James.
