although it might seem strange to some, walking through graveyards and studying headstones is one of my favorite pastimes. having lost most of my immediate family at a young age, or even before my birth, i came to see graveyards as sacred spaces filled with history and emotion.

after years of researching on Find a Grave, i finally decided to create an account when i discovered that the graver who contributed most to my family's pages had passed away. i'm endlessly grateful for her work and hope to continue her legacy by paying it forward.
