Bio

I started genealogy about 25 years ago when I read my grandfather's obituary and saw that he had nine brothers and sisters. What? Where were they and why don't I ever remember hearing my family talk about them? Oh, AND he was born in Germany? I've been collecting information ever since.

Back then, I spent a lot of time, visiting court houses, cemeteries, historical societies and reading microfilm/fiche in a dark cubicle. I put in a lot of miles driving around the state of Wisconsin. Today's tools and internet resources allow me to do more in 10 minutes than I could in a week back in the old days.
