I have wanted to study my family's tree for a long time but never had the time while working full time as a Registered Nurse for almost 40 years, raising my kids, and just doing life in general. Got really sick in January 2021 and received a liver transplant in November 2021 when I was at the point of death. Had to learn to sit up, stand, and walk all over again. It was extremely hard! It took an entire year to walk without any assistance. It forced me to slow down and make time for things that I never had time for before.

Now, that I finally have time to do things like this, I find that I am really enjoying it. I am trying to put my family member's grave memorials all together, learn more about each one of them through my subscription to MyHeritage.com, Ancestry and on this site. I love finding my family on ancestry or my heritage, collecting old family pictures of them, finding their grave on Find A Grave, and then actually visiting their gravesite. It is so interesting! I am constantly discovering new things. You can completely lose track of time while researching your family. I have found that this is a new method of relaxation for me.

The majority of my relatives that I have researched so far have been in Barrow, Clarke, Greene, Lumpkin, Oconee, Walton, and White Counties, Georgia. My family lines include: White-Canup-Walden-Spencer-Fowler-Eason-Frady-Ammons-Walker-Teem-Benfield-Stowe-Hayes-Dolvin-Sidwell-Littleton-Gheesing-Smith-McHarque-Hudson-Palmer-Floyd.

It is so important to preserve history before it is erased forever. I am so very blessed to have a second chance at life and to have the time to research my family and their history. God is so good!
