In 2021 I approached Unadilla Baseline Cemetery secretary with the intent of cleaning it up and making it active again. The cemetery lawn was cut several times over the summers but since around the 1990's it was severely overgrown and neglected.

With the help of many volunteers we spent countless hours cleaning up the cemetery and revealing long buried monument stones. Several of us went to board meetings to seek out support from Unadilla and Lyndon townships to have the back land plotted. The transformation of this cemetery has been beyond incredible.

In March 2025 we officially re-established a very old tradition of a formal committee that organizes and manages its very important perpetual care. I am proud to say that I have been elected as president of the committee for a 2 year term of 2025-2027. I am very I interested in preserving this cemetery and learning about how find a grave can support its rich history and future!
