I have been researching my Family Tree since 2004 shortly after my Grandmother passed in November.

She always sought to keep me busy and out of mischief so this was her way of ensuring that I would be kept mentally challenged indefinitely.

My mother and I travel about and always looking to find family connections wherever we stop. We have both landed now in County Durham and are both very happy here. Lots to keep us busy with photos, document searches and our own homes and lives beyond.

I have 2 small dogs and together we enjoy visiting different places and meeting up with family members, newly found or those we grew up knowing of.

It is quite a nervous moment when meeting someone for the first time and although each are aware of the genetic connections it can still feel weird.

When ever we enter a Graveyard or Cemetery I make sure I have the details to hand of the persons I am tracing and then take pics and jot down any additions.
