I personally disagree with the policy of removing family members' names from descriptions. Firstly, this is a terrible idea for genealogical purposes. Secondly, these people have generally consented to putting their names online (not all of them, obviously, but if someone for some reason wanted to know the relatives' names, they could just look at the original obituary).
