I'm in search of family information. Looking for my maternal great-grandmother's family. Her name was Mary Ellen Lawson Ames. Her daughter, my grandmother, was Gertrude Almeda Ames Bazor, and she lost her mother when she was young. Mary Ellen and Samuel Ames had 8 children, Lester, Chester, Lucille, Gertrude, Samuel, Ray, Elmer and George William (Billy). Her family came from Missouri and moved to Tecumseh, Oklahoma. Her husband, my great-grandfather, was very abusive and did not give her a headstone or any proper burial that we can find. My aunt created a headstone for her and the babies she lost in infancy. 1896-1935 I think are her birth and death years.
