I have been researching on Ancestry since 2018. When I began this journey, I was under the impression that the Find A Grave Memorials were entered by staff at the cemetery then transferred to be managed by Find A Grave, and that the photos were taken by volunteers. When I joined Find A Grave to submit corrections for members of my family's Memorial pages, I found out differently. It has all been a big learning curve.

Family names I am researching are: Black, Bowie, Dunlop, Race, and Jones among others. I was 'blessed' to inherit photos from my paternal grandparents and am still in the process of entering them.

NOTE: I ask that you do not post an obituary that contains the name(s) of living persons. Please send me an edit and enter the information in the "Bio" that you wish to show on the Memorial for that person (Click the "Suggest Edits" button- scroll down to make any suggestions or add information in the "Bio" section, then scroll to the bottom and click the "Save Suggestions" box). Unfortunately, anyone can post a photo of an obituary to a Memorial page, so if it contains information on living persons, please send a message to the person who originally posted the photo, as I am unable to delete photos posted by others, even if I manage the Memorial.
