I've traced my family roots back to our enslavement in Virginia, Massachusetts, Georgia, Tippah County, Mississippi, Tennessee, and utlimately Texas [Marshall, Elkhart, Grapeland, Palestine, Waxahachie, Ferris, & Dallas]. My family names on my Mother's side are: BROWN, SMITH, SINGLETON, MCGOWAN, BELL, WILLIAMS, ARBUCKLE, COX; via great-aunt's Marriages: LUSTER, GRAY(S), CLEAVER, WILSON, RILEY, PERRY, ROBINSON, CASEY, MCCOY, BOOKER, DOTSON, THORNTON, and CLARK.
On my Father's side: WASHINGTON, POTTS, JOHNSON, DEMBY, HICKS, WEST, WELLS, HENMORE, HARRIS, CARTER, and MARRIOTT.
