During the dawn of the internet genealogy era around the beginning of the 21st century, I noticed copious erroneous information, dates, and locations in several ancestral lines as well as those of friends and even colleagues.

Most of my research, or course, relates to ancestors, but also I continue to research folks and friends who I maintained a rapport with growing up with as well as former colleagues.

Growing up in northwest Minnesota, I conduct research especially in Becker and Otter Tail Counties, especially where my ancestors settled in the following areas: Dent, Perham, Detroit Lakes, Underwood, Fergus Falls, Pelican Rapids, and Vergas as well as Maine, Dora, Dead Lake, and Candor Townships in Otter Tail County. Furthermore, I also research in Carver County, Minnesota in the following areas: Waconia, Norwood Young America, New Germany, and Hollywood Township (Mayer) where my father's ancestors also settled.

Now with extra retirement time well in hand, look for corrections documented with reliable sources so as to really honor the loved and departed descendants, ancestors, and cousins as well as friends and co-workers.

After researching on Find A Grave Dot Com for a good while, this faithful researcher became convinced that everybody has a story to tell. Ideally, each entry in Find A Grave posts photographs, full, complete, and correct names and/or nicknames, correct birth places, birthdates, death locations, and death dates as well as a complete obituary of survivors and deceased relatives. Furthermore, in large cemeteries, directions to gravesites should post as well.

Let us truly honor our loved and departed family, friends, colleagues, and even folks we really did not know!
