The drive that inspired me to begin helping with grave photo requests came after I received a fulfilled request for my grandmother's grave in Hungary, a place and connection that had been lost to my family through time and history. Receiving that photograph was one of the most meaningful moments of my life.

Afterwards, I searched my own local area to see if there was a way I could return the kindness that had been shown to me. That was when I discovered more than 150 unfulfilled grave photo requests nearby, some of which had been waiting for over two years.

Seeing so many people still searching, waiting, and hoping for that connection deeply moved me, and reminded me how deeply family, remembrance, and belonging matter to people everywhere.

I felt compelled to do my part in helping lift that backlog for other families searching for connection, memory, and peace, and through doing so I have come to understand how meaningful it can be helping preserve stories, reconnect families, and ensure those who came before us are never forgotten.
