Hello all, my name is Marco Ruiz. I graduated from Alice High School in 2023. After graduation, I attended Texas A&M University-Kingsville, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in History in May 2026. I am currently pursuing a master's degree in Mexican American Studies at the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley. Utilizing my passion for research and history, I am working on locating and researching gravestones in the Collins Cemetery that have not yet been photographed or researched to tell the stories of individuals who once resided in South Texas.
