I am a single mum of 4, with children aged 8 to nearly 19. I was a primary school teacher for 18 years until my eldest son got leukaemia and then required a double lung transplant, 2 years later. Now I am recovering from 4 years being in hospitals caring for and supporting my son and figuring out my next step in life.

I got into family history research, researching my younger daughter's family descendants to keep my mind active, and to be honest, I am thoroughly enjoying it. I came across this website that helped me immensely and wanted to "give back". I know how comforting and settling it is just to have a picture of a remembrance of a descendant - it brings some closure and completes a part of the "puzzle".
