George & Nora Strobridge were parents of Edna Mae Stobridge Mathews. Nora and George lived in Blair, NE after they married. The moved to Denver,CO where George was a barber. They moved to the homestead west of Hiawatha sometime in the early years of the 20th century. After living in Kansas during the depression, they retired to Colorado Springs, CO, where their two sons, Frank and Harvey lived. George was assisting with the relief efforts during the flood of 1935, whe he cvaught pneumonia. He died from it shortly thereafter.
