Historic Oakwood Cemetery,located in Raleigh, NC., was chartered in 1869 and is Raleigh's oldest private, non-profit cemetery. The Confederate Section contains the remains of some 1500 soldiers who fought for the Confederacy. Names of men and women of historical significance rest here, and well as those of every station in life.
