Wilson Cemetery

A Virtual Cemetery created by Vicki Gress

James was known as "Jimmy". I am his step-granddaughter. In addition to being a machinist he was a blacksmith and had a forge in the shed out back. He was a thin man when I knew him, likely due to the cancer. When he married Dorothy Squier Williams Johnson, she had one grown son Carl Harold Williams from her marriage to Roscoe Williams, and two small daughters, Ora Louise and Letha Mae from her marriage to Oliver Leon Johnson. He had had a laryngectomy due to cancer and he used a speaking technique called "esophageal speech", which for some was difficult to understand. As a 4 year old I understood "PawPaw" perfectly. His prognosis was likely painful and eventually would be terminal. He chose to end his life by shotgun.

Vicki Gress has not added any memorials to this virtual cemetery.
