Grave markers that have been enhanced using foreign materials for readability or photographic reasons contrary to FAQ #96.Colored chalks can permanently stain grave markers. Street chalk have chunks of hard material in the chalk which can scratch the surface faster than a weed eater. Flour gets into nooks and crannies and the next time it gets wet it swells (hydration) attracts wild yeasts and bacteria and becomes bread dough which feeds molds, mildews, mosses, lichen and fungi. Your moment of pleasure with yourself stroking your ego was not so good for the grave marker just abused.
