In 1816, Sarah Keates, daughter of Richard Keates and Elizabeth Simmonds, married William H. Hall [I] in Oxfordshire, England. They had 5 children, all born in Berkshire, England: Alfred (FAG 135346050); Thirza Elizabeth (b.11-Apr-1821, married Joseph Surman, d.22-Sep-1859 in Berkshire); Henry (twin, b.17-Feb-1827, d.Dec1904 in Holborn, Middlesex England); Edwin (twin, FAG 140561507); and William H. Hall, Jr. (FAG 10503786). ***** On 30-May-1855, Edwin married Elizabeth SURMAN at the Church of St. Blaise, Milton, Berkshire, England. Edwin and Elizabeth immigrated to America about 1870, and were living in Lisbon (Kendall County) Ohio when their 9th child was born in August, 1871. In December 1874 (when their 10th child was born), they were living in Wakonda (Clay County) Dakota Territory. *** NOTE: Sgt. Andrew T. Baker, who's buried in Kansas (FAG#3368390), married the Hall's first child, Edith Emily Elizabeth HALL. Per Hall descendent Dennis Johnson, the 4th Hall child, Thomas Edwin David "Ted" Hall, married Ida Belle Baker,the 4th child of Justice of the Peace Andrew Baker, who's buried next to Ida in California (FAG#55695975).
