A Virtual Cemetery created by Martie Groome-McGirt

84 memorials

George Lauder was a noted Scottish stonemason that lived in North Carolina (and did stone masonry work when the State Capitol building in Raleigh was renovated) in the 1800s. His gravestones are usually signed "Lauder" in script on the lower right section of the stone. Some are plain and simple, others quite ornate. Many have a distinctive slight "rooftop" shape of the top of the stone.
