Margaret was born in Charleston, W.V. and on 5 Aug 1929 the entire family moved to Needles, CA. to work on the Santa Fe Railroad, having worked on the C&O in WV. Margaret graduated from Needles High School and worked as a waitress in the Harvey House, at the train station. She had the highest grades in her graduating class. She lived in Los Angeles, then Burbank, in a post-was housing development called Roger Young Village. She and dad bought a house in what was then Rivera, in southern Los Angeles County, and was the go-to person in the neighborhood for moms who wanted to know what the symptoms of any ailment were. She had four children, three girls and one boy. The only boy, the youngest, died only 8 years after she passed. She was a good mother and wife and was a friend to everyone who knew her.
