Archibald E. "Archie" Holland (1838-1885) married Caroline Cash. Their son, Archibald "Elbert" Holland (1873-1947) married Jennie Holloway. Their son, Aubrey Bigham Holland (1896-1990) married Genia Marie Wadlington. They had two sons, Molloy and Vernon. Molloy "Joy" Lynn Holland (1920-1991) married Dorothy "Dot" Irene Gray. Vernon Lloyd Holland (1927-2014) married Wilma Florence Sanders. Aubrey's middle-name honors his uncle,Bigham Holloway,Jennie's brother. In our family, the Holland name appears to be of English, Anglo-Saxon, origin and probably comes through a bond servant who immigrated to Amherst Cty., VA. It goes back farther than indicated here but, due to records lost in a fire it is difficult to be sure right now. More work to come.
