Aggies Remembered for World War I. Fifty-four (or fifty-five) trees were planted around Simpson Field at Texas A & M following the war. Since then an additional seven Aggies have been recognized as dying during WW I. Sixty-two Aggies are now recognized for being Gold Star Aggies.
