The Port Austin Township Cemetery is located ¼ mile east of Port Austin, Michigan, on Pointe Aux Barques Road, which is an extension of East Spring Street. It is owned and operated by the Township of Port Austin, Michigan, and is an active cemetery.

A lot of the cemetery looks like this.

Port Austin is built on sandy soil. Erosion and the sand have reclaimed many burial sites. By accident we were able to find some recent burials (last 30 years) that were already buried in dirt and sand.
