About these numbers These percentages indicate the number of Find a Grave memorials that have a grave photo or GPS coordinates. We don't know the total number of burials in a cemetery, so we cannot calculate a percentage of those with memorials, photos or GPS coordinates.

C. M. Kaufman, in about 1896, conceived the idea of creating a new cemetery. Expansion of the cemetery in Tower City was not possible and it was almost filled (now known as Saint Paul's). Mr. Kaufman's new cemetery was not an instant success as burial lots in Tower City and Orwin were free. Greenwood was the first public non-sectarian cemetery in Tower City.

At one time, there was a Mausoleum located at this cemetery. It was emptied in the early 1980s, sat vacant for many years, and eventually demolished. A lot was offered within the cemetery but some folks were moved to other cemeteries.
