Minersville Cemetery is owned by The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod and cared for, on behalf of the Synod, by Pittsburgh Area Lutheran Ministries (PALM). It was the cemetery of Second St. Paul's Evangelical-Lutheran Church on Pride St (just north of Duquesne Hospital). Also buried here are many Hungarian Reformed and Antiochian Orthodox. Rev'd. William Passavant buried many people who were served by his mercy institutions here as well. Due to vandalism, many graves now lack their stones. Recent improvements include a flagpole and a gate, and many more are planned as time and funds allow. It is located in Pittsburgh's Hill District (on Herron Hill) at the corner of Shawnee & Ossipee, next door (to the north) of the Milliones School, near the intersection of Herron & Centre Avenues.
