Joe Crowley donated the original land for the cemetery. Additional land was later purchased from the Galaway family. This cemetery is under the jurisdiction of the Necessity-Bradshaw Cemetery Association, which meets the first Saturday in May and September for a designated work day.
The first known burial was John E. Steward, who was born in 1869 and died in 1886.
