Glyntaff cemetery adjacent to the University of Wales, Glyntaff Campus, was opened in 1874 and covers approx. 26 acres, last being extended in 2007.

Gyntaff crematorium opened in 1924 and is the oldest crematorium in Wales. People from much of South Wales were cremated at Glyntaff and their urns and tablets deposited in the columbarium which was built in 1932. Repair and renovation took place to the columbarium in the 1990s and again in 2016.

Glyntaff cemetery and crematorium also featured in the filming of ‘Torchwood' in 2006 & 2007.
