Gray Cemetery

According to "The Heritage of Madison County, Alabama" (1998), this cemetery served as the burial ground of the old Providence Presbyterian Church. The cemetery has not been used since the early 1900s.
This cemetery is located south of the Franklin Station subdivision and east of Balch Road Self Storage, a commercial business, in Madison, Alabama. To access the cemetery, travel north on Balch Road and turn east on Monument Lane. Travel east on Monument Lane to the first stop sign and turn south on Pennsylvania Avenue. Travel south on Pennsylvania Avenue and turn west on Annapolis Court. Travel west to the end of Annapolis Court and park in front of the house at 100 Annapolis Court. Walk on the right side of the house to the woods behind the house. A piece of white pipe is sticking out of the ground directly in front of the cemetery. One standing grave marker is visible from the edge of the cemetery. The cemetery is overgrown and there are numerous sunken areas, holes, and other hazards. Two "No Trespassing" signs are nailed on trees on the west side of the cemetery; however, those signs were posted due to prior criminal mischief in the area.
