Emily Cemetery is a non-denominational cemetery located at 4249 Highway 7, Omemee, Ontario, that celebrated it's 150th anniversary in 2024. The cemetery site was obtained on Lot 7, concession 4, of historic Emily Township. When Emily Cemetery was first opened in 1874, it received many interments that were moved from the two older church cemeteries in Omemee (i.e. Christ Church and the Methodist Church). The cemetery was endowed with a gift from Lady Eaton in 1929, in the form of a beautiful stone chapel that was built on the site, as well as an English-style gated entranceway. The Lady Eaton Chapel was restored in 2000, and has received a Heritage Building designation in Ontario.
