Please note that this is the OLD Carmel Cemetery. There is a newer Carmel Cemetery, located further north on Rangeline Road about 1/4 mile.

The original Carmel Cemetery was established at what is now the North East corner of 136th Street and Rangeline Road.

The Old Carmel Cemetery is located at the North East corner of 136th (East Smokey Row Road) & Range Line Road, Hamilton County - Clay Township, Carmel, Indiana. Originally known as the Richland Cemetery, the ground was purchased from David Wilkinson in 1833 and was originally part of Delaware Township. The first Friends Church was a log structure located where Section 2 of the cemetery is currently.
