Friends (Quakers) split in 1826 and the Friends meeting in Stroudsburg, a borough founded by Quakers, also split. The Ann Street burial ground was transferred by Frankford Quarterly Meeting of Philadelphia to Lehigh Valley Friends Meeting of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania in 1971 for its use.

The Orthodox and Hicksite branches of Philadelphia Yearly Meeting were reunited in 1955.
