The Ohio County Poor Farm Cemetery, at Roney's Point (also known as Roneys Point Cemetery), is located east of Triadelphia on the former estate of Wheeling (WV) wealthy businessman Henry Schmlbach. The cemetery holds over 800 citizens who were connected with the County Farm/tuberculosis sanitarium or who may have been paupers, decedents with no survivors, or persons without the means to pay for a funeral and/or burial. The site has also served as a relocation spot for other cemeteries/gravesites that were relocated for highway or business redevelopment. Burials from 1932-1987 have been documented. Efforts to remediate the cemetery have recently been undertaken by the Ohio County Cemeteries Foundation, Inc. located in Wheeling, West Virginia.
