Black Community Cemetery is located in Black, Alabama a rural town within Geneva county. In the 1980's the cemetery went through a complete restoration. Many of the graves that were unmarked were identified and new headstones placed on them. Mr. Phillip Durant Sr. built the brick entrance for the cemetery, placing a newspaper and coins in the structure dated at the time it was built, for future generations.
